Keto Pizza Recipe
In this recipe, we’re going to be focusing primarily on the pizza crust and then you can add whatever toppings you like.
To make the crust you will need mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, almond flour, one large egg, and whatever seasonings you like.
Ingredients
6 ounces mozzarella cheese 1 ounce cream cheese 3/4 cup blanched almond flour | 1 large egg 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning 1 teaspoon garlic powder |
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F or about 218°C.
2. While the oven is heating up, put 6 ounces or about 170 grams of grated mozzarella cheese into a bowl along with 1 ounce or about 28 grams of cream cheese and 3/4 of a cup of almond flour. Microwave on high for about 1 min. then stir it up and pop it back in for another 30 seconds.
3. Add the egg and the seasonings and mix thoroughly until everything is combined.
4. Roll out the dough between two pieces of parchment paper. The dough should be a circle roughly 10 inches in diameter. Rather than using a rolling pin, I like to put the dough between two pieces of parchment paper and then press down with a cast-iron pan to flatten it out. I find it to be easier than using a rolling pin.
5. Poke some holes in the dough with a fork and then put it in the oven for 11 to 14 min. When the crust starts to turn a golden color, we can take it out and add our toppings.
6. Add whatever toppings you like and put it back in the oven for about 5 min.
